I am not an emotional man by any means at all but the sight of those medals tossed away almost made me sob, like the guys sacrifice, pain and suffering didn't matter! so very sad:-(
many of our WW1 'death' memorial bronze plaques suffered the same fate both of my great uncles ones were thrown away and scrapped long ago!

At first it blew my mind, Stefano... but now I just shake my head. I wish I didn't have to... but I am happy that I can save these historical treasures.

Just found this group of items!

The pouch has an ink stamp on the front that says: "Kameradenhiffe"? There is an oval logo ink stamp on the back that says "DRAHOMA." It looks like it once held bandages or maybe a sewing kit? WW1 German?

Medals seem to be WW1... French and German.

    The dogtag reads: "Jack J. Green. 32417496. T44. O.C."

The stamps and coins all seem to be WW2 era. One german reichmark, a bunch of french francs. Chinese Yuan bill is from 1936.

The medal with narrow red stripes on the ribbon reads: "croix du bombattant."

The medal with bold red, black, and white stripes on the ribbon says: "1914-1918"

The oval medal is German... it says: "Kriegerkameradshaft Hassia" The back says: A.D. SCWERDT(I think a letter is covered). MEDAILLEN MUNZE GRAVIR PRAGE UND GALVANOPLASTISCHE ANSTALT STUTTGART. The dangling metal part is ripped.

All the items were stuffed into the little pouch.
You need to change your mouse pad... Why i can't see most of your uploaded pictures???

Here are some better pictures of the wax-covered (cosmoline-covered?) front seam, fixed bale that I found two days ago:

Looks like someone used this for target practice... OR, the G.I. who originally wore this was very lucky during combat, but suffered multiple, severe headaches during the course of the war. Either way, it looks SO salty and I love it!

The wax... or cosmoline... or whatever this stuff is kind of disgusting to touch... makes my hands feel greasy and sort of smells like WD-40. Should I remove this gunk? If so, does anyone have any tips on how to remove it?

AND here is a rear seam, swivel bale I found yesterday! Inside there is a heat stamp (?) that says: 737

FINALLY! Here is the HOLY GRAIL OF MILITARIA!

    In mint, unopened condition!
What is it????? WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT???? I CAN'T SEE THE PICTUREEEE!!!!!!!!
