Default French revolutionary light cavalry sword

I should say "probably" because very little is know about those swords.
It is here presented along with a French 1882 model, found in the same house clearing.
The best part is that it is marked by the maker from Paris; Liger.
    Sadly missing the scabbard.

I would if it was complete, but it is missing the scabbard.
Those swords are handmade, so not any (suitable!) scabbard would fit.
My guess is that it has been picked up from a battle field, but it remains a guess.
