Article about: Yep same here Blackened brass hardware if this is not down to age ?, on the buckles and eyelets leans more towards a U.S. army item, again I'm also still looking at this as possibly WWI due

    Gary. The bag was found inside a toolbox and smells of oil. That is all I know.

    If anyone is interested the army buckle is marked on the tab: R. SIEPER & SONNE LUDENSCHEID and dated 1940. The buckle is marked: R.S. & S.

    Hello everyone,

    Due to the renewed interest in this thread I thought I should point out that these items (except for one I kept) are no longer with me having been "swopped" for aviation related material.

    I am always interested in exchanging items with other collectors.
