garage sale find (field pack U.S.)

hi guys im new here and absolutely love the site. ive already spent much time reading around. so now ill make my first post.

my mother picked up this field pack at a garage sale a few years back. she paid 2 dollars for it . im not really quite sure what its nomenclature is or when it was issued or to what units. any info on this item would be greatly appreiated.

Nice pack assembly that you've got there and, apart from a bit of rust on the buckles, it looks to be in pretty good condition.

It is an M1928 haversack, compete with the meat can pouch. You can add a pack-carrier (a.k.a. 'diaper') to the bottom. Nice find and for $2 a great buy!

It amazing that you can find field gear for pretty cheap, if you look around(take quit lot time to find these items).
I found WWII US musette bag for $10.
Your M1928 haversack is great deal and I would take that any day.

i realy love going to yard sales and estate actions as you get some realy good dealy and never know what you might find.! nice find tell her to keep finding.
