    inner part "codes" are:
    12 StB
    3:85
    arx
    44
that's where firing needle hits, sorry, don't know real name

    outer shell part "codes" are:
    6360 St

i know what "Waffenamt" code is,but i couldn't find a "372" origin on code list online.
The shell is around 43-44cm long and 50mm in diametre on the top opening.

Could it be from the PAK 38, i believe that fired a 50mm shell but was later superceeded by the heavier models

You dont see these 5cm (50mm) rounds or cases that often here in UK and where you do they are often quite expensive like most German WW2 ordnance and collectables. The last complete one i saw was around 120 on John Carlins website but not sure what a case might be but wouldnt be cheap so you got a nice case there. Regards, Tim.
