Iraqi relic piece ID needed

Hi all I bought this off ebay cheap, it appealed to me so I just bought it but needing help actually knowing what its from? ie tank? artillary? appears to be ironsights of some kind and it has russian lettering. Its definatly from Iraq as theres sand encrusted on it plus the seller said he knows a soldier that brings back iraqi stuff

Any help would put my mind at ease

All I can say is the Russian Cyrillic lettering reads "MP 1".

just a guess but it looks like it could be from some sort of indirect weapon like an underslung grenade launcher but i'm no expert.
