    Thought id share this pair of knives with you.Brought back by my Grandfather late 1944,from either Belgium or Germany.Top one looks like a paper knife,the bottom looks almost home made marked HAUPTNER ,ever seen one like this before?

    I don't recognise them as being a military issue pattern of any sort.

    My best guess would be that they are one off workshop made.

    I assume they don't have any markings.

    The lower knife has the german manufacturer HAUPTNER stamped on the sheath.Appreciate your reply,thanks.

    The bottom item doesnt look like a knife, its more like an awl or a leather bradle, possible to do with a saddler?

    The bottom one is not a knife, but an instrument called a Rumen Trochar used by vets to relieve blote in cattle.
