Re: My 1944 British Airborne trailer
Exciting news!
A friend has discovered an April 1949 trailer manual and is the First Edition, War Office Code 5460. It answers lots of questions such as what fits in the brackets inside the trailer.....
He is going to get it reprinted and I will help sell copies for him. Once it is done, I will let everyone know. He also has the diagram number for the wiring harness.
Cheers, Ade.

Re: My 1944 British Airborne trailer
Hi Ade, I just joined this forum after seaching for images of military trailer wheels on Google. I was doing this because I've had a wheel stolen from my trailer, which looks very much like yours. Mine was given me by a friend of my wive's years ago, I didn't have a clue what it was, someone had cobbled a wooden body on the chassis which was very rotten. I built a box body out of 2" angle and galv sheet, which looks incredibly like your standard body. I think my trailer was originally a bowser judging by some of the curves on the chassis. You may think differently, I'd be interested to know. Anyway, mine is now unusable until I can find a new wheel, it's got the split rims on it, not like your spoked type. Do you know of anyone with any wheels to fit? I'd be grateful if you'd let me know. I don't think I live far from you either,I'm in Long Eaton. Cheers, Steve.

Re: My 1944 British Airborne trailer
Hi Steve, welcome to the forum! Nice to meet another local lad
I will ask a friend who lives near Ripley if he has any.
Do you have any pics of your trailer? How many studs to the wheels?
Cheers, Ade.
