Hi guys , this is one of my favorite helmits , it was found in a barn along with another helmet , the barn was being pulled down and they were found at the rear of the barn slightly buried in the ground. The barn was used by the germans as a dressing staition during the landings and was situated near the town of Bayeux .I love the desigh of the camo , it also looks like the chin strap may have been gut , cheers Raymond

Great find indeed! A friend of mine a police officer was told to tell some people who were in the process of moving,to move their van away from the next driveway. There were two German helmets stacked on top of one another and the guy was throwing them away! Now they have a prominate place in his collection.
