Hi Gary,

I know this is an older thread, but I had to respond. NICE STUFF from a yard sale! I have been doing this for years and if you hunt n your old neighborhoods, chances are you know the WWII era Vet. And this provides great provenance!
These vet finds on ebay and other auction sites are not truly proven. Remember younger collectors, "Buy the item, not the story! IMHO

Jaeger shhhhh don't give away all my secrets . Just picked up a WWII bazooka practice rocket at a estate sale just shows you never know what you will find. Also found a nice 77th division patch at the sale

P.S. I once got a SD SS Helm for $20 dollars from a friend (money he owed me for a job I helped him with). I told him 35 years ago it was worth much more then this and he said, I quote "It was in my celler, my dad brought it home, but I do not care, I hate my dad!" His dad brought it home from WWII.
