Old Leather Pouch. Possibly for Pistol Ammo

Hi all. I am after some suggestions as to what this pouch is. Clearly in beat up condition. It is similar in shape and size to pistol ammunition pouches seen on British Officer's Sam Browne belts. I have yet to make a positive ID though. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

This thing has seen it's fair share of use looks like it is from the early 1900s maybe even the 1800s any markings on it

No, unfortunately it is not marked.

Looks very similar to a Wallace ptn expense, spare ammunition), pouch to me mate.

I think it's an old bicycle repair kit pouch that straps behind the saddle. Sorry not to suggest something more exciting!

I agree the buckle on the front does not look military.
