Hi guys, way outta my league here but needed to ask the question.

By way of background, 20 years ago I visited a tank scrapyard in southern New South Wales and among other things Matilda and Grant related ( all long ago sold on ) I brought back these tools, not knowing what really what they were for or off.

I guess they are tank or military related but only one set has markings on them ( see last photo ) but are they Matilda, Grant or something else???????

Any ideas - because they are wasted on me .......

    Thanks, Dan

Ha - I suppose we will never know their true purpose but they WERE amongst tank hulks and tracks etc..
I'll try to find some photos of the yard - it was cleared up years ago now.

    Thanks, Dan

Just a guess, but I wouldnt think wheel nut tensioning tools would be so light in build. They appear to be Cast aluminum, its hard to tell but thats what I was thinking. The tensoning tools for old International and Caterpillar crawlers are fairly heavy duty.
