Went to a local steam engine show, there were some auto jumble and bric a brac stalls, and I appear to have cleaned up all the militaria that was there. Star find was a group of postcards from a WW1 Canadian soldier, Harry Horton, who had sent postcards back to Hensall, Canada, to his family, which have some how got back to the UK, amongst the cards, was a newspaper cutting of Harry at a Rememberance service in Hensall in 1982. Other items of interest were, WW2 German compass, WW1 engineers saw, assorted Air Ministry tyre pressure gauges and small tools, WW1 German & British binoculars, and a scroll commemorating Squadron Leader F Larman, who was killed in the Far East. The little box in front of the thermos, is War Dept marked and is unopened, it says "Respirator Painters Rogers No7 Qty 1", do I open it ?
