Thanks for all the nice reply's guys, I do realize that this is prob a once in a lifetime find. Here is a close up of the water color found inside. I wonder if Dewey had a local painter do this while on leave? Also a newspaper clipping found online, Dewey's name is at the bottom.

A very lucky find, it nice to see that a collection of items that have been together for about 90 years are going to a person that will appreciate them, and not down to the local junk shop, or dump. Or get split up and then lose a lot of there historical if not physical value.
