    Hey Guys,
So I've been doing my fair share of hunting this Summer in Canada. Usually, hunting here turns up dry as a bone with very little finds, but it turns out that you just need to be looking in the right spots (as many of the more experienced people know). So, here are my first Summer finds, with hopefully more to come.

-RCAF 1942 dated tunic, removed insignia, named
-RCAF Cap, named.. any more info??
    -ww1 Imperial Buckle
    -ww2 Wehrmacht Buckle, RSS marked
-ww1 war medal- named to Lieut. H. Thompson
-SA? German Eagle Pin, 'Ges. Gesch' maker, RZM and a stamped '6'
-ww2 I.D Bracelet for a soldier in the RCNVR (Naval Reserve)
    -ww2? USMC specialty badge
    -ww2 dated American Canteen, 1942 w/ pouch
    -1941 dated British? Gas mask

    spent a total of $217.

That was it for this haul, refer to the pictures for details. Hopefully that is not going to be it!
    Regards,
    Finn

    Thanks Chris!

The Red canister for the Gas Mask is on it's way, and I believe the cap to be a ww2 RAF cap with a post-war Queen's Crown cockade.

    Here is Today's find!
Not much luck otherwise, but I'm more than satisfied with this one. It's a British/Canadian Boer War bayonet. To those of you out there who know alot about bayonets, it's a model 1888 Mk1 Type 2, manufactured in 1899 being the one made in March of '99. It's maker is Sanderson Sheffield, called the "Lee Metford" bayonet. for $40, with it's original leather sheath, I couldn't refuse it.
It looks like there may have been some new black paint appliad to the bayonet itself, but is not much of a deal and can be removed. I anyone wants to see pics of the markings on the blade then let me know, there's a bunch.

Well I'm up the coast right now and technically away from home, so these are all new parts for me. Where I am, there are not many militaria collectors.. probably a couple or perhaps a little more. but the town is not very old, and it's very limited picking. So I'm very surprised that I've hit it this lucky so far!
