Nice haul!!!! Please post the PAB in a separate thread

I'm still learning these. A shame the catch is broken which does impact the value but it appears that you have an earlier solid Tombak small "w" Wurster award. I'm not sure if the repair is wartime or not.

It may be Variant 1.2.2 according to Phillipe De Bocks book. That said, it may be a zinc example but given that it appears to be from Die Type 1, I'm going with Tombak. Wurster used 3 dies. Dies 1 and 2 were for Tombak awards and Die 3 was for Zinc. The book notes that this 1.2.2 variant is unique in that it is the only solid tombak version made during WW2.

I could be wrong but as I noted above, I think it deserves it's own thread.

I live in the wrong part of the country. Our flea markets and thrift stores are garbage..
We have met the enemy and have learned nothing more about him. I have, however, learned some things about myself. There are things men can do to one another that are sobering to the soul. It is one thing to reconcile these things with God, but another to square it with yourself. - Robert Leckie
