    Default Tommy Helmet

    Hi all,

I was in a modern militaria shop earlier in the week and the owner had this lying there on the floor looking sorry for its-self. I thought I could clean it up so I gave her £3 for it and here are the results!:

(I forgot to take a picture of it before hand, the first few pictures are of it after a quick clean and brief submersion in the acid before I realised and took a picture!! ... it was a lot dirtier and rusty looking when I bought it)

PS: can anybody tell me what the markings might mean?? (I thought fire Guard, civil defence?? )

    Cheers,

    Sam.

Hi Sam, I would agree, FG = Fire Guard.

    Nice buy!

    Cheers, Ade.
