Ukrainian Air Force Beret

Picked up this Ukrainian Air Force Beret, over the weekend, while snooping around in one of our regular shops. Not exactly sure of its vintage, I’m thinking it’s from sometime in the 60's, based on the jet image on the flash. Sorry for the bad photos, my camera died and had to snap these with my cell phone. I tried to get a good photo of the tag but it just wouldn’t come out.

This is much more modern than you thought: remember the Ukraine was then part of the Soviet Union.

How modern? I would say 1990's to present day?

I cannot help more as this is completey outside my experience.

I agree with Ade. If this were Soviet era then it would have a hammer and sickle somewhere.

It's absolulty Ukrainian, I've just got my history dates screwed up, I probably just wanted it to be older.... I looked at the very modern flash patch and it does not match up so this one must got back a generation or so of flash patches. I just can not find any older examples on the net. Russ
