Default US Troop Carrier Grouping with German Bringbacks

Wasn't sure where to post this, so I guess this will work. Lot's of areas covered with the grouping from both US and German side.

I just received this grouping today from the family. I'll focus on the US items first.

Named to a veteran of the 434th Troop Carrier Squadron, where he served in England as a mechanic working on C47's. Later service found him in occupied Germany.

There's more to his service, as outlined in the veteran's obituary, which he himself wrote, posted below. Also included is his PA Veteran's Compensation Application.

That covers the US items, now for the German items.

First up is a Tri-Color Camo, German M40 Helmet. I can't tell if there is a decal or not. Sadly, the liner has rotted out.

Unable to see the maker or lot # due to rusting on the underside.

What a haul! Provenance, history and a wide variety of items. Even though the liner is damaged, that helmet alone is a super item. Fantastic. NH
