He's from the 5th and 1st combat would have been Iwo Jima for the 5th.

The map of Camp Tarawa is something to note, Because they were sent to Camp Tarawa near Hilo, Hawaii for further training after the Battle of Guam, Where they were not needed.

The Chinese flag is interesting. I wonder if he was a China Marine before the 5th.
And with all those Lt. rank bar's, I'm guesings your guy was a Luey??
