Could you please start a thread on the M16 helmet with some nice close up photos of the crest. This is what I think is a Hohenzollern crest used during WW1. I am not fully versed in these but if original I do think they are quite rare. From the photo I can not tell if it is hand painted or a decal (it is my understanding that they should only be hand painted.)
