You seem to have a superior class of boot sale in your area.... All I ever find round here is crappy ornaments, cookery books, toys and nasty old clothes!
Well I thought my collecting year had finished, but this afternoon the following was brought to my house for me to add to my collection, by the wife of the author of an article in the Wheels and Tracks Magazine from 1993, on souvenirs taken from a Grosser Mercedes 770K at the wars end. I saw this pennant back in 1997, when the author showed it to me, as he had been given it by the chap who had originally found it. Along with the pennant are the origianal magazine photos, copies of the wartime photos and an article from the local paper, which started the ball rolling in regards to getting the details etc, published in W & T. So this Luftwaffe pennant is purported to be from a car used by Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring.
My Christmas just started early !
