To my belief this was used to transport artillery rounds? I've seen a thread on these but I can't seem to find any now. My relatives in Lapland gave me this about 5 years ago, seems like a German remnant from the Lapland War.

My dad found a helmet from the same area as a kid, but the adults told him to throw it away as it had a bullet hole. Apparently he threw it under my great-uncles barn and to my understanding it's still there, unsalvageable tho.
