I'm thinking it was some sort of soldier art... It almost looks like it was a stickpin or something. Handy Heinrich made some additions I'm thinking.

Well, wow what more can be said, its a pity the brits did not think to bring home such items, i suppose at the time it was not important, do the people you buy from realise the value of the items they sell to you ie do you get them at silly prices some of the things you have there are museum grade.
