Default WW1 German Water Canistor- I think? + WW2 Civilian Gasmask

    Hello Gentlemen,
Yesterday, I picked up at a flea-market a German civilian Gasmask its complete, but the rubber is after 70 years is starting to perish, do members have any ideas how I could treat the rubber and stop the process. The second piece is, well the market trader said wehrmacht WW2, I met another collector he said Military German WW1 I'm inclined to agree with him - to be honest I don't know - what do members think. Any information welcome.
    Regards
