Thanks Steve. I was hoping you saw my question.
I thought when you put CPT, I was wondering if the CaPTain insignia's were the cap type.
    Thanks again for the clarification.

    Hello all,

My name is Bob Erley and I am brand new to this group. As a kid I heard many flying stories about Uncle Hank, including the shot out control cables (I never really believed it). It is great to learn that it really did happen. I have an old medal very similar to the upper middle one in the 2nd photo, with quite a story to go along with it. I do not think it is one of Hank's, as the story involves the other side of our family. I am sure those stories had something to do with me becoming a pilot.

    Thanks, Bob
