    Copyright problems I suspect.

Anyway on the subject of "bloody foreigners"

"Of 2917 men qualifying for the Battle of Britain Clasp, 14 different nationalities have been identified:

    Great Britain 2334
    Australia 33
    Belgium 29
    Canada 98
    Czechoslovakia 88
    France 13
    Ireland 10
    Jamaica 1
    Newfoundland 1
    New Zealand 126
    Poland 145
    Rhodesia 3
    South Africa 25
    United States 11

(One man, identified in some lists as Palestinian or Israeli, is now believed to have been a British subject born in Palestine)"

Not sure how accurate but certainly gives an idea of the different nationalities involved.

I watched it this morning. It was really good! I was not aware of the accomplishments of the Polish fighter pilots during the Battle of Britain. I had just thought that they were just regular old pilots, not a bunch of guys who went up for a turkey shoot every day.

There is a dead body shown in it at one point... maybe that's why it was blocked?

A Jamaican pilot? I want to know who this man was... and I would love to know more about the Palestinian pilot as well.

In the film Battle of Britain I believe he's listed as an Israeli, but for the life of me I cannot see where the problem was re the block, as for the Polish pilots dont forget most had seen a lot of action before coming to England but it was the Language problems that hindered their inclusion straight away

At least us bloody Canadians had a passing acquaintance with the English language.
