LAMONT,
GREAT FIND, WISH I COULD HELP WITH WITH THE PATCHES, THE ONLY ONE I CAN FIND IS THE 1st MARINE DIVISION....WILL KEEP SEARCHING......Dave H
Lamont: They appear to be Marine Air patches. The one in the middle is definitely a Forward Air Colntrolled, 1st Marines patch, which leads me to believe the other two are also US Marine related. Try sending the three photos to this adress; director@paxmuseum.com
Good luck. Dwight
the patch with the bird holding camera , is the ww2 unit emblem for VMJ-1 which was a USMC photo recon unit that flew the JM-1 , the USMC version ofthe USAAF B-26 Marauder . They had two patch designs , yours is the more latter version.
