    Hi Guys, I have just read the sad news that Gunther Rall, the world’s third ranking air ace passed away on Oct.4th at the age of 91.

    I had the good fortune to correspond with him on a few occasions and have quite a few signed photos , he was a really nice bloke and one of the wars great fighter pilots.

    Most of his kills were on the Eastern Front flying 109's with Jagdgeschwader 52 , later in the war he also flew FW 190's and ME 262's.

    How very sad, but on the other hand, he lived a long, full life and had his honor to the end. I hope he passed peacefully into the great beyond. I offer the below excerpt above my signature area as an offer of my respect for his bravery and skill.
