Open day at the former R.A.F Sopley
Hi all, the friends of the New Forest airfields are having an open day on 18th Dec at the former R.A.F Sopley, (now Merrfyfield Park) near Christchurch in Dorset. They have a small but very interesting museum with lots of info and models relating to the local airfields of WW11. Also there will be the Pathfinder Parachute group showing british airborne equipment and uniforms of WW11. If your local then please show your support, starts aprox 0900hrs

Well RAF sopley. Now that's a name I'd forgotten about. I stayed there for 2 weeks when I was an air cadet about 18 years ago. Great times. Do you have any photos of the open day?
