Hello Mate, and welcom to the forum!

I believe that you have a medal that commemorates the death of Istvan Horthy, who was the eldest son of the Hungarian Regent Miklos Horthy.

Istvan was killed on the 20th of August 1942 in a flying accident in Russia. His aircraft was a licence built Italian Reggiane Re.2000 fighter known in Hungary as a MAVAG Heja II. Although serving on the side of the Axis he was a known for his questioning of Nazi doctrine and sympathised with the jews of his country and how they were treated.

    Regards, Ned.

Hello guys this is 3rd class Service Cross, it was awarded for ten years of service. The 20st of august is the day of St. Stephan, on this day a lots of military awards used to be awarded. So the owner began his service in 1932. It has nothing to do with the accident of Horthys son. Its value is around 40 Eur.
