Latvian Badge?

This is being identified as a Latvian Badge, can anyone confirm or expand on its purpose?

I can't offer a definitive answer (let alone comment on authenticity), but the design certainly looks Latvian.

Judging from the acronym "ZS 62", it would appear to be a unit badge for the 62nd battalion of the Latvian National Guard [Zemessardze (ZS)].

Hope this helps or at least points in the right direction for further research.
