In our genealogy club, a french member came and shown a belgian made Adrian helmet, colour Dark Blue/black, with a brass insignia showing the letters LW

I took pictures of this helmet; you may see them on http://geflo.marche.be/adr2.jpg and http://geflo.marche.be/adr3a.jpg

The most intriguing fact is that it was not made in steel, but in some kind of bakelite, of the kind the US under helmet was made (the one which supported the steel helmet)

Could you tell me who used that kind of helmet?

You have a great collection Hughes , I love this kind of stuff and there is so much variety to it . Seems lots of nations want to forget all about their occuipied past , let alone any support the might have given the Germans during that time . I believe it is called selective memory . Keep up the great work .

    Cheers Chris
