Does anyone know where I can get a replica of the Romanian airforce pilot's
badge when Romania was an axis nation? I just can't afford a real one

That would be great!! I just don't know where to turn to find this badge There was a real one on e-bay but the cost was out of my affordability range

Peter, You can purchase an excellent copy of the Romanian Pilot Badge from National Capital Historical Sales (Geo Peterson) in Springfield, VA. They are $45.00. The copy is very good, only the reverse pin is different than the original. Their eBay ID is "NCHS" and if you do a search for "Romanian Pilot Badge" in the WWII category, the NCHS Store will come up with a picture.

another option is to be patient and search inside the European Ebay pages...I have seen genuine Romanian pilot badges pop up from time to time when people do not know what they are.... simply search on the German word for these badges....while it is a long and tedious search, sometimes it can pay off......I have found many great badges in there that way and have paid ridicukously low prices for them<s>. You just have to be prepared to be very patient.
