salty Hungarian WW2? boots...

hi All,

just got this salty (probably Hungarian) WW2? pair of military boots...it was almost free (4 EUR).
is there any way to restore this baby a little? no tear damage...only as can be seen on the pics.
the sole looks original "PALMA"...

Have you had any luck with info? There is a near identical pair at a local gun shop, but I cannot find any info about palma.
