    Hi Emile!

Sure, the first 2 helmets in my previous reply are 47M Tildy helmets just like the german M35. Ww2 helmets had been used from 1945 until 1950 when the new (and ugly) russian style helmet (50M) was introduced and regularized.

This helmet is also a post war reissued 35M MÁVAG68 helmet (issued as 47M) with postwar liner and paint. Has a fantastic grass green glossy overpaint outside. Very probably for parade purposes.

Here are some postwar made hungarian helmets from my collection.
Typical shape (slightly flatter than war time helmets, edge is crudely rolled, usually air vent bushings are missing, angle between the apron and the skull is smaller, lack of any hungarian maker mark or coat of arms except a hardness test symbol (5) on the rear skirt). I have only seen size 66 and 68 of these postwar made shells.

The liners and chinstraps are very similar to the setup of the Spanish Modello Z. Are they as uncomfortable as the spanish equivalent with only a strip of felt as padding, or are the cushions under the pads?

    Very informative - great photos.
I am very happy with my m47 "medic" even though it is a post-war redone wartime shell.

Rare hungarian 35M camo helmet, overpainted in matte grey paint. GY66
These grey camo helmets might appeared in Yugoslavia 1941 according to different sources and memories however there is no any concrete evidence to support this theory.

Very interesting. I have seen such helmets before- but never had any in my collection. A hungarian helmet is high on my list after reading this informative thread.
