Default WW2 Norwegian NS lapel badge....

    Hi,

I have this WW2 Norwegian NS Hird membership lapel badge, I've seen red painted or enamel badges but wonder why this one is blue......... the badge is sterling silver made by David Anderson (still a very well known, first quality maker in Oslo) I don't collect these so don't know much about them, anyone with information is welcome to post.
    cheers, John

    Thanks Kenny,

I contacted Derek and he said that it was a civilian lapel badge of some sort, further digging needed....
I wonder if there are collectors of civilian Quisling items?
    cheers, John

I think NS collectors certainly collect civilian-related Quisling items like the AT and Youth stuff...there's not a whole lot of NS out there, it adds variety

Please let us know if you figure out the organization it's for...very interesting. Is it a screw back or buttonhole device?

Hi Brig, it's a buttonhole type, I wonder how much these things go for as I don't collect axis stuff?

I think we won't be able to estimate the value until we know the organization. NS party badges seems to range from 100-200, Hird badges can go for more. My guess as civil is under 100, but I am new to the NS hobby so could definitely be wrong
