    Default Mk6 Northern Ireland riot setup

    This Mk6 is missing it’s tag like so many Mk6s but the O in the liner makes this an outsize helmet and it’s absolutely huge on my head and I’ve got a big noggon The shiny shell is a feature you only tend to see on 1980s produced Mk6s. The nape protector is attached by Velcro and dated 1987. The visor not a riot visor but an anti mine visor is dated 1986.
    I’ve added some period pics of similar setups for comparison.

    Im still looking for a mk6 with velro. theres a few on ebay but i cab wait for cheaper ....Outsize helemst are HUGGEEEE i too have a big head but they swamp my head..
