What an amazing find and they look in great condition too, do you have any idea of the story behind them?

I do not speak latvian but as far as I understood these helmets are from Kurland pocket area and left there after capitulation in May 1945. Maybe some of our latvian friends can give more info. Anyway - amazing find!

One guy found about 30 helmets, next day 120, they were thrown away in trench by Germans before capitulation.
Im really pleased for the guy who found them, but boy it makes you feel sick that there are still these things to be found but you may never have the opportunity to dig for them
