I've taken the time to read through and view all the material from this entire thread and, can say without a doubt, it was an absolutely amazing read! Being from PA., U.S.A., digging at a good World War 2 battle site is pretty much out of the question for me. The only possible way to dig an American Civil War site around here is to find privately owned ground and get permission. Sadly, most of the relics have already been picked and on a good day, a single bullet is a reward. So, thank you "f35jsf" for taking the time to post your incredible finds. My only wish is that you had some of it for sale, especially the helmets!!
    Hi.

First: thank you for kind words.
Second: there are no such places where you can truly say that they are "totally searched". Something always stays in the ground.
Is a matter of luck and stubbornness
    Like my Kzf2 or schneegreifer.
Third: digging is my hobby not the way to earn money so sell anything not interested me.

    Pozdrawiam.
    Paul.

I wasn't suggesting you would sell any of your hard earned relics - I know I wouldn't! What I meant is that's the only way alot of us can get our hands on such beautiful items.

Like you, I love it when someone tells me the area is "all picked out". Unfortunately, around my parts, most of the land around the closest ACW field to me (Gettysburg, PA.) is now under U.S. Government control and is impossible to dig on. The remaining public land has indeed been "picked out" or the owner/s will no longer allow relic hunters. And sadly, finding one single bullet in a full day of digging is considered a good day. You're a very lucky individual to be able to do the digging you do and I enjoyed very much seeing pictures of your treasures!
    Happy Digging!
