Hi Phil
8 pins on the tube.
Martin
Pop it in the freezer for an hour or two, take it out and quickly breathe onto the glass.
If there were any markings printed onto the glass they should show up.
A few more finds:
A: Life Jacket ink marker fragment & Advert
B: Barker Colman Aircraft Controller
C: UNID: some kind of instruction plate
D: Part No. 3-12090-2, Crank Assembly – Control
E: Wiper arm: Anderson Company (off what?) & Company Handbook
F: Piece of Plexiglass with part of surround
G: Airframe piece with original paint
H: Airframe pieces
I: Personal items & advert for the 'Prophyl-lactic Tooth Brush'
J: Bottles: Vicks, Nowlands & Listerine (with Advert). Nowlands Direct Applicator dispensed Thimerosal/Merthiolate which was widely used in over-the-counter products, including ointments, eye drops, nasal sprays and contact lens solution. In 1998, the FDA finally banned Thimerosal for use in OTC products—18 years after it began a safety review of mercury-containing products.
As always, any help with ID would be appreciated!
You have some nice bits and bobs again! The enamel instruction plate is interesting but I don't think it's from an aircraft but I might well be wrong. The windowscreen wiper is from the cockpit window we found a whole load just like that but ours still had other parts attached so were easy to ID.
The Aircraft controller is interesting I've not seen anything like that before so hopefully someone can ID it for you.
Keep us posted on anything else you find.
Andy.
Item C is one of the two instruction plates from the burner unit of an M1937 Field Range (US Army field kitchen oven).
Here are two pics of the M1937 Field Range. In the second one, the plate can be seen. Thanks PB!
No problem!
I've been meaning to post these for a while. They were found together within inches of each other. I wonder if they were the possessions of one man and why would a perfectly good bottle of Teel Mouthwash be thrown away? Unless...
