well, I think they are looking for some stuff there. there is quite few photos on that web site so you need to scroll down to see them all. They found a lot of corpses of soldiers.

It looks like theyve dug into an unknown mass grave or possibly a large killing zone, by rights they should report the finding of bodies and they should not be taking items off the bodies, this is the worse kind of battlefield archeology, unless they are doing this as a means to legally finding the remains and giving them a proper burial, they should discontinue their digging, i believe this may be the reason why no details are forthcoming of the whereabouts of these finds

My exact thoughts. Finding relics are one thing but once any human remains are found it needs to be reported. I do hope that any remains are given the proper burial and respect.

This article has actually fetured on the forum in the past.

The remains were discovered during building work.

All were reburied with military honours.

    Cheers, Ade.

As Ade says an old thred but still interesting one as it show the excellent preservation of the weapons / munitions etc in certain kinds of soil . The pictures of the remains also gives a good indication that they are being treated correctly , Black diggers don't arrange them seperately and individually , they'd all just be chucked back in the hole and they wouldn't be postng photos of that !!

    Thanks for the info Adrian.

Do you know where they were actually discovered and how it happened that the soldiers were buried there?

Do you have a link to the previous thread regarding the pictures?

    Thanks
