Attachment 390107Attachment 390108Attachment 390109A friend has just recently returned from Stoumont in the Ardennes and while he was there he came across these two pieces of what he believes came from one of three destroyed Panther Tanks. Im no expert on these things so will need some help to identify the parts. The first one is a piece of 10mm thick armour plate section-this weighs 8.6lbs and has an impact indentation in its middle section which has caused a bulge on the inner surface plus a puncture hole to its left edge which looks to be around 20mm diameter. The other piece is what looks to be a piece of control gearing or linkage. Would appreciate any ideas on these two. My friend who goes regularly to this area said he dug them near to the old railway station in the woods near the road at Stoumont and he said for reasons unexplained he went there at night. Thanks guys and appreciate any input as the net seems thin at this time.

Nighthawking is the bane of any serious research into the past of any country and spoils it for those who care, just so a few can line their pockets by selling their ill gotten gains.

Is the whole of the Ardennes area covered by a ban? He just said he went searching at night which i thought was strange. I didnt pay for the two bits but was curious as to what the mechanical looking piece might be?
