    My pleasure Comrade ~ LOL

AT least here we don't really have a off season ~ in Summer it is more about donning the leg gaiter for snake protection and added bug spray and more hydration !

The local dam is still dropping dramatically and there is no sign of rain so far ~ As a result it is pretty crowded and almost have to make a reservation to MD !!

This recreation hall ~ chimney built by the military in 1942/43 is normally under < 15 ft/ 5 m plus > of water ~ The high water mark can be seen on the tree trunks!.

The water is normally well above these stumps and roughly around the pontoon and beyond ~ the local bloke usually lounges on his pontoon with boats moored to the vessel and he reclines with beer and cocktails ~

The creek still submerged ~ was a source of numerous UXO's in the past as they pushed all the top layers into the creek when the dam was built in 1958 ~

( Not much to be found here now ~ pretty well worked over ~ )

( I shudder to think of the huge numbers of water skiers and jet boats that infest these waters when the water is higher~ but to think of folks coming off and plunging into these waters.. Me~ wonders ~ just how many HAVE actually done themselves an injury hitting these submerged stumps..

The locals are never going to cut them or burn them as the power boats and jet skies drive most locals INSANE ~

"That's not sending out good Karma!? eh ? " )

Had this item soaking for some tiem and cleaned it up ~

Now I am a little perplexed as I found it in a camp site ~ but since WWII the site has also been a recreational area as well ~

So not sure it is a war period ribbon 'mount' or simply something modern ~

But can't see it as a modern item really?

I think it is a chain or ribbon suspended piece and a ribbon on the broader section ~ ???

( The only reference I found a Google a search which suggested that the primer is in fact German ~ but typically when I went ot he page the reference was not to be found ~ A 'follower ' also suggested that it is a German fuse !)

I may stand corrected but I believe DMW is/ was German manufacturer ~

The bullet has no headstamp ~ the projectile is crimped by three indents ~ but measures ~ (my verniers have died digitally ~ ) so can only rough measure visually ~ rimless 32 mm long * < 8 mm > projectile and 10.5 mm base dia ~????????

I have heaps as well ~ but could count the number of utensils stamped with /|\ logo ( Dept defence) on one hand I reckon ~

Even have one which was obviously stolen from the railways ~ Most have the maker's stamp ~nothing else ~

The serving spoon is a rare one ! I was looking at it today and thinking, as it is well on the way to being bare metal ~ I may even polish right up, as the brass ~ or copper ? ~ looks like it will come very nicely ~
