Battledamaged beautiful finds

Article about: They obviously never knew what hit 'em. But it is sobering to realize that indiviuals died wearing those lids... heads turned to strawberry jam.

Beautiful helmet Ruben!, what’s the story behind it?, did you find it your self or purchased it in Italy?. I did some vacation finds me self but “unfortunately” I can’t post them here because they are not battle damaged.

    Hi everybody,
I'm new in this forum but I found the threads very interesting and I want to share the pics of my collection.
I found this "battledamage" coin several years ago on the Dolomiti, ITALY, where the Austrian and the Italian fought very hard during the ww1. This Italian 10 cents coin was on the ground near an italian trench that was taken by the Austrian. I measured the bullet holes and they have a diameter of 6,5 mm... the caliber of the italian ordnance at that time: the Carcano 91.

I sincerely don't think that the coin has been drilled.
Of course, this is very possible and maybe someone has made a joke for metal detectorists, but...
When I was young my brother and I went to the fields for some plinkling. We used to hold some coins with nails to the wood and we used to shot them. Result was the same and identical...

Wow! The guy or girl carrying that last case must have gotten shot to pieces if the holes are legit. Amazing.

In many, many years of collecting, those are the first de-nazified belt buckles I have ever seen that Russian soldiers would have worn. There was so much hate between them, someone must have done that after the war.
