    I saw this on another web site dedicated to metal detectors!

    This just gives a guy a big blue one to go out and find relics!! Totally cool!!!

    Thanks rogue for posting. Welcome to the forum. They have photos of this box on this forum but I can't find them. I think they said it was found near Konigsberg. Some think it was a set up, due to what the cigars and liquor would have been worth. People think the guys would have gotten the tuff back quickly for the black market. But if you're dead, you aren't going to be doing much digging. Who knows?

    Those were my thoughts as well. Even boxed there will be moisture damage, soiling, deterioration, just plain aging to most of these items. The container is not air tight.

    It does appear staged.

    The paint on the outside of the case is too good. If this were in a bog with 0 oxygen, maybe. I suspect it was staged. Too good to be true. Captivating, one can dream. (Check out Dirty Diver on You Tube, he finds amazing things in lakes.)
