    Default Dieppe Raid Trip Relics

I was in Dieppe this time last week, only a short trip

While I was walking along the shale beach in front of the hotel, would have been White beach sector, I came across a few bits of metal, one quite large, about 16" long, which I believe is definitely from the battle, has traces of wartime green paint and was found in the vicinity of where one of the Churchill's was knocked out in a trench, I think it was the tank " Burns ", I will check when I get home tonight.
There are little cafe's and bars on the edge of the sea front, and it seems one of them has dug a trench through the shale down to the sea to enable easy access for some Jet Ski's I am assuming

I will post some pictures of the items over the weekend, nothing that exciting I suppose but I was quite pleased when I stumbled across them

Does anybody have any relics from the Dieppe Raid battle at all ?

    Cheers

Here we go, not exciting I know but I was quite pleased when I found them.

The pieces were found in the position of the " Burns " tank. There has been a trench cut through the shale near that position so I am thinking this may have been underneath all this time.
The paint colour can not be seen that good in the pictures but to me its clear that its green ww2 style colour paint, similar to be seen on helmets and such like.
I thought it may have been a piece from the bracket that holds the two exhausts together ?

    Cheers
