Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
Seeing these threads with the amazing items being dug up, makes me wonder just how much materiel was produced for the TR war effort. Does anybody know, for example, how many M35 or M40 helmets were manufactured up to May 1945?
This Sunday
All ordnance was thrown in nearest swamp
We call it GAGARIN
1. Found helmet on surface, may be there is soldiers scull, 2. need to think, 3. 4. 5. it was empty , smebody made mess-tin from this helmet, 6. German mortar box cap, 7. 8. 9. found German wheel
We have found some very strange item, need help to identity it.
Absolutely STAGGERING! Fabulous finds there. Love the way you dispose of the ordnance. Maybe you should save it for use on the cold days!
Martyn.
