So is burning the powder !!!
The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )

    1st July 1916

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

Seems strange to me....I mean, if your proud of what your doing, and its legal, what do you have to hide?

He has a right to privacy like everyone else. I would never show my face on a public forum for one simple reason. People may recognise me from my local area and be tempted by my relics to break in and steal them.

Just because someone doesn't want to show their face doesn't automatically make them a criminal.

    Jeez.....

Ahhh Steve, ever ready to jump in there. Im not accusing anyone of being a criminal. I just want to work out peoples motivations for secrecy. Although I guess its easy to say "I dont want to be recognised in case anyone pinches "MY" spot".

If he was a criminal, I highly doubt that he would even be a member of a forum such as this, I've only ever posted one or two photos on here showing my face? But that was an exception

    Thanks
