    Good on yah Inka ~

    Envy your helmet find ~

Not an impossible ask even for me down under ~ as even more intriguing German military has been found in these parts ~ i.e. a German Luger for example ~

Stoked for you! Congratulations! Sure looks like it will clean up really really nice. Can't wait to see the final results!

As it stands, with all the stone attached it looks like it belongs on the head of one of the characters from the crew of the Flying Dutchman from Pirates of the Caribbean...

    Hey Inka

Watched a documentary on Discovery Channel this week gone ~ "Nazi Super structures" ` this episode ~ "Hitler's Arctic Fortress " which covered the entirety of the Norwegian campaign from Go to Wo ~

Certainly showed me some facts I was not aware of in the Norway campaign till 1945~

The sheer logistics of the Atlantic wall alone ~ without any of the other structures built by the Nazis, the wall truly was a HUGE undertaking ~

Just the Norway infrastructure alone was massive ~

One has to give credit to the Germans ~ without getting into such issues as forced/ slave labour ~ their drive is / was truly amazing~ if not sheer lunacy ~

But the massive logistics of 'their war' is/ was truly staggering in contemplation ~~

Last week I found this cut down German 5 cm casing made into an ashtray. When I cleaned it up yesterday a nice engraved pattern emerged from under the crud. A great little find
